At Rural Homes Inc.  we've been designing efficient attractive plans for years.  You want an attractive home, that meets your needs, and builds efficiently for cost savings.  We can handle that!  Our designer has 25 years of experience doing just that.  He tells us that the key to efficient design is to work on the same grid that the lumber lengths are, to essentially start with a design that is an even number of feet wide and an even number of feet deep so you get less waste out of the lumber.  There is admittedly a lot more to it than that, and you don't really need to know all there is to good design, that's what we have him for.  Just start by getting a home that is working layout wise and budget wise, and then we can in house customize it for you.  For example each of our owners suite baths have several layout options that can be interchanged so if you want that whirlpool tub you can opt. for it.  We can add decks or screen porches on the back or whatever you need.  Might be able to move a wall or two, or change the elevation for more or less front porch.  You might want all brick, and we may be able to do that also.
